The Erie Redevelopment Authority’s Homebuyer/Rehabilitation Assistance  program makes funds available to qualified 1st time homebuyers in the City of Erie.

Funds are awarded to qualified 1st time homebuyers to assist them with the  purchase and rehabilitation of their first home.  Rehabilitation involves ensuring that the home is in  compliance with City of Erie plumbing, electrical, and building codes, as well as mitigating any lead-based paint hazards which may exist.

The funds are offered in the form of a deferred-payment loan, which means that no repayment is required as long as the homebuyer maintains the home as their primary residence for a period of 10 years.

For more information and/or to obtain an application package, contact the Erie Redevelopment Authority offices at 814-870-1540.
